Corinne’s partner Margot Sherr Shapiro’s career has spanned publishing, venture capital, private equity and investment banking. Margot served on the Board of Advisors of the Wolverine Venture Fund at the University of Michigan's Ross Business School for six years. Previously, Margot was one of the founding members of Kaplan Interactive, the start-up book, software and internet publishing division of Kaplan, Inc., the education company owned by The Washington Post Company, where she initiated the corporate acquisition program. Margot began her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs & Co. and moved on to private equity with E.S. Jacobs & Co., where she assisted with venture capital and leveraged buyout deals consisting of over 30 portfolio companies totaling $6 billion in revenues. Margot invested in and served on the boards of a wide range of industries including biotechnology, education, manufacturing, and restaurants.
Margot holds a B.S. in Applied Earth Science and an M.S. in Petroleum Geology from Stanford University. She is married, lives in Orange County, has three amazing children, and likes to golf and travel.
The third LMN partner, Linda Greub currently juggles her work with LMN Ventures with a position in Business Development and M&A at Singulex, the developer and leading provider of single molecule counting (SMCTM) technology for clinical diagnostics and scientific discovery. Prior to which she was Global Director, Strategy and Business Development for Novartis Diagnostics, where she partnered with MPM BioVentures & Novartis Ventures on new technology investments and leading the Venture Capital Outreach program. Previously, Linda started-up operations and served as CFO of VitaPath Genetics, served as Director for M&A for Applied Biosystems where she worked on the sale of the company to Life Technologies for $5.1B, built profitable healthcare services research franchises at Banc of America Securities and Pacific Growth Equity, and invested over $3.2 billion of equity capital, including over $1.1 billion of performance-based hedge funds, as a member of a number of private investment partnership teams including Tudor Capital and Essex Investment Management.
Linda is a board member of the HBS Health Industry Alumni Organization. Unlike Corinne and Margot, she eschewed Stanford and attended Yale University where she received a B.A. in the History of Art. In her free time, Linda watches her two challenging sons grow and change, runs and still bakes a damn good cheesecake.
